Who we are

Wheel Repair Specialists of Michigan (“WRS”, “we”, “us”) operates the website wrs-mi.com. Our shop is located at 10500 W 8 Mile Rd, Suite D · Ferndale, MI 48220. You can reach us at sales@wrs-mi.com or 248-900-9100. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you use our contact or quote-request form, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, a description of the wheel or the damage, and any photos you attach. Photos you upload may contain embedded metadata such as the date, device model and location where the photo was taken. We use the photos only to evaluate your request, and we remove or ignore embedded location data where our systems allow it.

If you have a wholesale account, we collect your email address, company name and the details of orders and appointments you submit through the portal. Wholesale accounts are created by us on request; there is no public sign-up.

If you call, text or email us, we keep the information you provide so we can respond.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we receive technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and the date and time of your visit. Our hosting provider records this in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information about your visit, including approximate location derived from your IP address. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics browser add-on. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run cross-site tracking.

We may use a feature-management and monitoring service to control which parts of the site are visible and to detect errors. That service receives technical information about your session, such as page load errors and performance timings, but not the contents of forms you fill in.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your quote request or enquiry, including by phone, text message or email;
• perform the repair or replacement work you ask for and keep you informed about its status;
• operate wholesale accounts and process wholesale orders;
• keep the website secure, prevent abuse and spam, and diagnose problems;
• understand how the website is used so we can improve it;
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Text messages

By giving us your phone number on a form, you agree that we may call or text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can reply STOP to any text message to opt out, and HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Who we share information with

We use trusted service providers to run the website and the business. They process your information only on our instructions:

• Netlify, which hosts the website and processes server logs;
• Supabase, which stores form submissions, uploaded photos and wholesale account data;
• Resend, which delivers our email notifications;
• Twilio, which delivers our text messages;
• Google, for Google Analytics and the Google Maps link to our shop;
• LaunchDarkly, which lets us switch parts of the site on and off.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and the Google Analytics cookies described above. If you sign in to the wholesale portal, a session cookie keeps you signed in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will prevent the portal from working.

How long we keep information

We keep quote requests and uploaded photos for as long as needed to respond and complete any resulting work, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records, warranty and legal purposes. We keep wholesale account and order records for as long as the account is active and as required for business and tax records. Server logs and analytics data are retained according to our providers’ standard retention periods. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your choices and rights”).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and private storage for uploaded photos. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can:

• ask us what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• opt out of text messages by replying STOP;
• opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

To make a request, email sales@wrs-mi.com or call 248-900-9100. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and you will not be treated differently for exercising them.

Links to other sites

The website links to Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
